Why do you need a coach?

Updated: May 23, 2022

Why do you need a coach?

Everyone needs a coach. It’s not because you’re troubled or broken. It’s not because you’re inept or inadequate. Everyone needs a coach.

Coaches help you uncover roadblocks and climb out of ruts. Coaches are navigators and cheerleaders. We are truly here for you. We want you to succeed and be the best you can be. We as coaches are objective and may see things from a different perspective. We want to challenge you to try something new. We want to advocate for you and watch you climb to new heights.

Take a guess as to how many coaches an NFL football team has… 3, 5, 8, 10, 15. Many teams have between 10-15. Each coach works with a specific group to coordinate their efforts and continue to work as a cohesive team with all the other groups. Have you ever thought about why athletic teams need coaches? Can you imagine all the players on the field trying to do things in their own way? It would be chaos.

Do you think an NFL coach wants his players to be the best in their field? Do you think he challenges them to strive for success, get out of their comfort zone and grow into a leader in their group?

As a leadership coach I want my players to become the best in their field and that may take some nudging from me. It may be uncomfortable at times but in the uncomfortable we find our strength and grow.

So why do you need a coach?

Are you in a position where you feel stuck? You’re not sure where to go from here? Are you frustrated with your workplace or team? Do you want to learn more about yourself and how to use your strengths to your advantage? Do you want to discover your areas of weakness and turn them into strengths? Do you want to take on a new challenge? Do you want to be a better leader? Do you want to be a better employee? Do you want to be a better person? Are you on a new path and not sure how to navigate it?

If you said “yes” to any of the questions then you need a coach.

Why do you need a coach…

“ I want to be the best in my field and need a different perspective.”

“ I’m looking for someone to help me uncover my blindspots.”

“I'm interested in learning how my communication style affects my work.”

“I’m growing my business and need a better understanding of how to be an effective leader.”

“The culture at my work needs an adjustment and I don’t know how to do it.”

“I need my team to be more productive”

“We are not a cohesive team.”

“I’m interested in learning more about my personality and using it to the best of my abilities.”

If any of these resonated with you then, Yes you need a coach.
